Right between &#8220;Dancing With The Stars&#8221; and &#8220;H1N1 Symptoms&#8221;.  So I can only conclude that America, while gearing up for a possible deciding game of the Baseball World Series on Wednesday, is watching celebrities dance, while reading &#8220;The Raw and the Cooked&#8221; while overreacting to their spouse&#8217;s cough.<\/p>\n<p>By the way, my home of \u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/www.silive.com\/news\/index.ssf\/2009\/11\/debi_rose_wins_north_shore_rac.html\" href=\"http:\/\/www.silive.com\/news\/index.ssf\/2009\/11\/debi_rose_wins_north_shore_rac.html\" target=\"_blank\">Staten Island has elected its first non-white person to local political office tonight<\/a>. So you can expect <a title=\"http:\/\/www.silive.com\/news\/index.ssf\/2008\/11\/staten_island_teens_accused_in.html\" href=\"http:\/\/www.silive.com\/news\/index.ssf\/2008\/11\/staten_island_teens_accused_in.html\" target=\"_blank\">some meat heads to beat up random black folks<\/a>, as they did exactly one \u00a0year ago tonight. \u00a0There may be a &#8220;post racial America&#8221;, but I ain&#8217;t seen it yet.<\/p>\n<p>As an aside, the <a title=\"http:\/\/www.silive.com\/elections\/?results-all\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.silive.com\/elections\/?results-all\/\">rich white guy won in NY<\/a> and the <a title=\"http:\/\/elections.nj.com\/dynamic\/files\/elections\/2009\/by_state\/NJ_Governor_1103.html?SITE=NJNEWELN&amp;SECTION=POLITICS\" href=\"http:\/\/elections.nj.com\/dynamic\/files\/elections\/2009\/by_state\/NJ_Governor_1103.html?SITE=NJNEWELN&amp;SECTION=POLITICS\" target=\"_blank\">rich white right-wing fat guy won in NJ<\/a>. \u00a0So I guess we have to go to work tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The local elections are odd enough.
